The addition of this fiber infrastructure will augment Hawaiian Telcom's existing backbone network and increase the company's total submarine and terrestrial fiber footprint by more than 400 miles.
Nearly half of the homes on the island of Molokai now have access to fiber broadband service, after Hawaiian Telcom added about 700 new homesteads in East and North Central Molokai to its service area.

This new deal enables Hawaiki to expand its subsea network with a new route linking Sydney, Guam, Hawaii and Los Angeles, offering greater connectivity and route diversity to organizations operating between Australia and the U.S.
