Five startup companies have been named to the UH Ventures Accelerator spring 2020 cohort, and four of them are addressing challenges associated with COVID-19.
More than 300 viewers tuned into the live stream broadcast of the final event. Three teams that used their digital prowess to win over the judges’ hearts for a share of more than $60,000 in prizes.

The three-story building, situated at the eastern end of McCarthy Mall near Kennedy Theatre, features 21 state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories, and will be able to serve more than 500 students daily when it opens for instruction this fall.

The quiz bowl style academic competition tests students’ knowledge of ocean-related topics, which include cross-disciplines of biology, chemistry, policy, physics and geology.
